When in case of lack of vitamin B in the feed.
Given changing of coat, environmental change or long-term illness.
B vitamins are important for the body's enzymatic activity and are used in a number of the body's functions, e.g. metabolism, nervous system and the formation of red blood cells. Normally, the horse can form a number of B vitamins itself - most are formed in the intestine. The horse can also get B vitamins via forage, grazing and concentrates.
In the event of changes in training, environment, feed or when changing coat, the horse may have an increased need for B vitamins and then need extra supplements. Extra supplements may also be needed in case of illness or diarrhea as there is a risk that vitamin B is not produced as it should in the body. The B vitamins are water-soluble and, with few exceptions, completely harmless, even in large doses.
5 - 10 ml per 100 kg body weight per day or based on calculated feed state.
