In case of deficiency of vitamin B in the feed state, as well as in case of fur, environmental change or long-term illness.
B vitamins are important for the body's enzymatic activity and are used in a number of the body's functions, e.g. metabolism, nervous system and the formation of red blood cells. Normally, the horse can form a number of B vitamins itself - most are formed in the gut by the microbes. The horse can also get B vitamins via forage, grazing and concentrates.
In the event of changes in training, environment, feed or when changing fur, the horse may have an increased need for B vitamins and then need extra supplements. Extra supplements may also be needed in case of illness or diarrhea as there is a risk that vitamin B is not produced as it should in the body. The B vitamins are water-soluble and, with few exceptions, completely harmless, even in large doses.
5-10 ml (5-10 g) per 100 kg body weight and day, or based on calculated feed state.
